Sonic technology uses gentle vibrations to sweep your brush head from side-to-side thousands of times every minute. The motion not only helps lift away plaque, but also creates tiny bubbles around your teeth and gums that clean beyond where the bristles can reach. It gives you a deeper clean than using a manual brush, with less effort and pressure on your gums.

SURI Core 1.0 is clinically tested to remove 100% more plaque Vs an ADA approved manual toothbrush in a 1-day in vivo study conducted by an independent third party.

Round brush heads only focus on one tooth at a time, whereas our slim, oblong head is shaped more like a manual toothbrush, so it covers more surface area at once and feels more familiar. If you're switching from a round-headed brush, you might notice that SURI feels a little gentler on your teeth and gums — but it's still a super-effective clean.

Our plant-based heads last up to 3 months and we recommend changing them every 2-3 months to keep them performing their best.

Yes. Core uses dentist-recommended medium-soft bristles and a haptic pressure sensor to guide your brushing and protect your teeth and gums. It also has a Gentle cleaning mode, ideal for sensitive teeth or if you're switching to an electric toothbrush for the first time.

"Bio-plastic" is a broad term - it just means a plastic made wholly or partly from renewable materials.

SURI’s signature plant-based brush heads are made from PLA, whereas Core’s body is made from Bio-ABS. They're both often referred to "bio-plastics," but they're different materials doing different jobs and we deliberately use each one where its durability and lifespan fits best.

PLA (polylactic acid) is made from plant sugars and is industrially compostable: it's designed to break down only under certain conditions. That makes it the right choice for our brush heads, which need to stand up to the rigors of daily use and wet bathroom environments are only meant to be used for around three months before replacing. A head has a short life by design, so a material that can eventually break down is a good match for it.

Bio-circular ABS is the opposite by design. It's a tough, durable engineering plastic chemically identical to conventional ABS, so it is not compostable but made using renewable and waste-derived feedstock instead of virgin fossil oil. That strength, premium finish and resistance to toothpaste is exactly what the Core handle needs, because the handle is built to be kept and used for a long time.
