Restore Gel Refillable Toothpaste

Yes. In a 7-day consumer trial with over 100 participants, 72% experienced less sensitivity to the cold after brushing with our toothpaste.

Nano-hydroxyapatite is the perfect ingredient for sensitive teeth. It's been shown to seal the tiny pathways in your teeth that trigger sensitivity when exposed to hot, cold, or sweet foods. By forming a protective layer over enamel and dentin, it helps block external stimuli from reaching the nerve.
Yes. Our Restore Gel toothpaste is designed to help whiten your teeth.

Nano-hydroxyapatite has been shown to help repair enamel and fill in surface imperfections to restore your teeth’s natural smoothness. While hydrated silica gently polishes the tooth surface to lift stains, leaving teeth feel smoother and brighter.

FAQs

Home Compostable Vivomer Refills

No. Our refills are fully waterproof and stable in hot, wet and humid bathroom environments for the entire life of your product. It only starts to break down once it is disposed of somewhere with sustained microbial activity (e.g. home compost).
If you do not have access to compost, you can put your refills in your general waste or recycling. While it will likely end up in a landfill or incineration, it remains a better alternative to plastic as it will not leach toxins or create microplastics. We are constantly working with our partners at Shellworks, on improving access to Vivomer waste streams, so keep an eye out for new systems.
The exact timing depends on many factors including temperature, moisture and microbial activity. In active home compost your refill will break down over a period of months, not decades. In a drawer or cupboard at home, it will last indefinitely. Our refills are certified to meet home compostability standards.
No. When our refills biodegrade, microorganisms enzymatically digest it, the same way they break down leaves or wood. Nothing is left behind as microplastic or nanoplastic particles, and our partners Shellworks have validated this with a third-party lab.
Yes. Your refill is recyclable, but for now it's not widely collected. More importantly, our biodegradable refills will not contaminate existing recycling streams. Our partners Shellworks has verified this in sortation facilities in the UK, France, Germany, and the Netherlands.
In regular use, nothing. Your refill is completely stable in water. You could keep it in your shower and store toothpaste in it for years. Our refills only biodegrade in environments with sustained microbial activity and exposure to the elements. Water on its own won’t degrade it.
No. The material our refills are made from, called Vivoma, has been tested in sortation facilities across the UK, France, Germany, and the Netherlands, and it does not contaminate conventional plastic recycling streams.
Our refills aren’t designed to end up in the ocean. But unlike conventional petroleum-based plastic, which breaks down into microplastics that persist, our refills are made from a material that microorganisms can digest. Marine biodegradation depends on certain conditions, so we can’t make blanket claims about ocean timelines. What we can say is—our refill will break down at a similar rate to cellulose in the same environment and leaves no microplastics behind.
